The
books I have chosen are American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis and
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Suskind. The theme I am
doing is the psycho. The reason I chose to read American Psycho is
because it gives a glimpes into the mind of a psychopath, and I find
that fascinating. I've read some reviews and many people say that they
couldn't finish reading it and they would never recommend it to anyone.
I'd like to take this as a challenge and read it. The reviews also say
that it's brilliantly written. One review says, "In American Psycho,
Bret Easton Ellis imaginatively explores the incomprehensible depths of
madness and captures the insanity of violence in our time or any
other." I chose to read Perfume because it's a murder story and I tend
to enjoy murder stories.
